Meet Hettie

Sunday, 30 October 2016

This is Hettie. She is a two year old Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel/Poodle cross) and she is the happiest dog in the world. Unfortunately, she isn't mine... Hettie belongs to Kurt's Sister but she kindly lets us have her for sleepovers and long walks some weekends. We are hoping to get our very own Cockapoo puppy next year when we have settled into our house and possibly if and when Hettie has a litter of her own.

We took her to some local woods yesterday and she absolutely loved it - especially jumping in the mud puddles and finding a boyfriend in the form of a 6 month old Labrador. Who knew Hettie was a cougar? If you're ready for a cuteness overload, keep on reading.

Lets Talk About Rosacea

Friday, 28 October 2016

I haven't always had good skin. In fact, throughout my teens to late-twenties, I was coming to terms with my many allergies, excess oiliness and extreme sensitivity and it's something that I still suffer with today. Before I even knew what Rosacea was; I was of the belief that I suffered with redness and broken capillaries specifically in my cheeks. It was always faintly there but became significantly worse if I had been drinking alcohol or if I had spent too much time in the sun. Not ideal when I was a University student...

So what exactly is Rosacea? It's actually a very common, chronic, inflammatory skin disorder which can occur in both men and women, often beginning in your teenage years. Symptoms often start with episodes of flushing where the skin becomes inflamed and red for short periods of time and then can develop into visible blood vessels and permanent redness. The causes are unknown and there is currently no cure for Rosacea.

Three Goals For The Rest of 2016

Tuesday, 25 October 2016

I realised something today, or should I say I was made to realise something today by a colleague who clearly doesn't like me very much... "it's only two months until Christmas!"..... FUUUUCCCK.

Yeah, Happy Tuesday Bitches.

Seriously, where has this year gone? Can we just slow down, please?

I'm feeling particularly inspired today and with that in mind I thought I would set myself a few goals to keep motivated until the end of the year. Then I can set myself loads of unrealistic goals for 2017 and laugh at them this time next year.

Sunday

Sunday, 23 October 2016

How beautiful is my hometown? I sometimes envy city dwellers but then I remember how lucky I am to live by the seaside with these stunning views.

I'm feeling extremely motivated this evening but such is life - I have nothing cool to write about. I guess I feel a little lost in the blogging world; I want to be successful but I find it difficult to keep up with all of the 'requirements' needed to gain success. Firstly, I'm terrible at social media. Secondly, I have no desire to be good at social media. It's a lose lose situation. Every now and then I feel like I'm missing out on incredible opportunities but then other times I'm happy to have a chilled life without the stress of chasing stats and approval. It's a conflicting feeling but I'm sure I'm not the only one whose felt it. Wow. I didn't realise I was going to be so fun tonight! I'd love to hear your experiences with this kind of thing.

Wishlist - Home Ediot

So I've moved into my new home with a male human and I want to buy everything.

This is just this month's wishlist. I may have an album (or two) full of screen shots waiting to materialise into real life objects. Can I just say how much I appreciate prints which involve an animal partaking in outdoor sports. It pleases me a great deal.
